It definitely doesn’t feel exactly like it would in real life, but the essential elements are captured. It borrows quite a bit from other open-world racing games. Ubisoft has made a contract with Epic, so Riders Republic will only come out on the Epic Store and uPlay. The physics are what matter most in a game like this, on top of how each activity feels, from bike riding, to skiing, to snowboarding, to snowmobiling, air gliding, or just finding anything with wheels on it to go down a mountain on. Riders Republic is an ambitious, captivating open-world sports game that had me laughing, sweating, and cheering more the longer I played. There’s plenty of depth added with the video-gaming of it all, because it really opens up how much fun this giant sandbox can be.
